Rick Johnson established 1st Choice Activewear in 2011. His goal was to create a company that offered exceptional quality & service of embellished brand name activewear. Rick strives to provide a variety of styles, fabrics and the latest trends for embellishing garments all in one place.  In 2018, 1st Choice Activewear merged with Aria Imageworks, creating 1st Choice Activewear dba. Aria Apparel.

A retired Naval Officer, Rick has more than 10 years of expertise from working with two national providers of sportswear. After the Navy, Rick joined his families business, Organized Sportswear, a leading west coast supplier. Rick directed all internal operations and learned all the basics of screen printing and embroidery. From there, Rick joined Badger Sportswear, where started their embellishing division from the ground up. Today, Badger is major supplier of Team and Collegiate apparel. In working for two major activewear companies, Rick learned the importance of providing excellent customer service and firsthand knowledge about logos, designs, embroidery and print.

The team is dedicated to delivering the best embellished activewear along with personal care and attention to detail in a timely manner. Today, we serve customers in all areas throughout the U.S.
